With this mission statement in mind, the management and associates of RC Willey are committed to improving the communities where we work and live. Sharing our resources by giving back to these communities is both a responsibility and a privilege.

As we evolve as a company we realize that consistent, quality philanthropic programs are essential to improving and changing lives. Our mission is to create partnerships that will achieve our goals. From October 1, 2008 thru November 30, 2008 we will consider applications for our 2009 R.C. Willey Charitable Giving Program. Please review the following criteria.

• Health and human services
• Education
• Civic and community involvement
• Environment

To be considered for 2009 charitable program, please submit the following information.

• The IRS letter certifying 501(c)(3) exempt status
• Alignment with our four focus areas of philanthropic giving
• The current operating budget, program budget (if applicable), principal funding sources and levels
• The organization’s most recent annual report and audited financial statements
• Evidence of broad-based support, with an accounting of funds received from public and private sources
• Description of the target population to be served
• Evidence that the service is a response to a valid need, is superior to other competing services and/or encourages collaboration with other organizations for maximum leverage

• Direct benefit to individuals (i.e. scholarship or fellowship assistance, pageants, medical funds, sponsorships)
• For-Profit entities, including start-up small businesses
• Political, labor, religious or fraternal activities
• Endowment, Capital or building campaigns
• Equipment, including computer hardware and software
• Marketing activities or Events centered on sports/athletic personalities and/or their activities
• Hospitals
• Vehicles
• Film or video projects, including documentaries
• Travel related, including student trips or tours
• Promotional merchandise
• Multi-year requests
