Charles and Ray Eames, the powerhouse couple who designed the Eames chairs in the 1940's and 1950's probably had no idea just how influential and long lasting their designs would be. Constructed from wood, fiberglass, plastic and metal mesh-- Eames chairs are sleek, modern, and still highly coveted all these years later.
Original Eames chairs are hard to come by, but there are plenty of Eames imitations out there--- in fact they are all over in the design world right about now! Here is one that we carry at RC Willey:
Don't you love it? I love all of the clean lines and curves- it's simple and elegant all at the same time. Whether you incorporate a handful of Eames chairs around your kitchen table, or you put an Eames rocker in your nursery.... they look absolutely fabulous in any modern room. Here are some of my favorites:

You know that person who is frantically scrambling on Christmas Eve to finally drop their Christmas cards in the mail, pick up last minute presents, and find all of the gifts they've stashed around their house so that they can get everything wrapped up before Christmas morning? That person is totally me. Albeit stressful, procrastination has seemed to work out just fine for me in years past. This year however, I decided to turn over a new leaf. I went full throttle, and by December 5th, 90% of my Christmas shopping was complete, all of the presents in my possession were wrapped (still waiting for a few I bought online), and Christmas cards were addressed and ready to go to the post office.
Can I just say, I'm kind of loving this? I feel like I can suddenly watch Christmas movies, make sugar cookies with my little family, drive around our neighborhood to look at all of the Christmas lights, and go to holiday parties without stressing and worrying in the back of my mind about when and how I'm going to find time to get everything checked off of my list. This is bliss!!
So what are your methods when it comes to holiday shopping? Are you an early bird, or do you wait until the last minute? This Christmas, I'm going to give away a foosball table and an air hockey table to two of you lucky readers to either help you with your last minute shopping, or reward you for already having it done!
Simply leave a comment telling me what kind of shopper you are! Two random winners will be selected and announced next Monday morning, Dec. 23rd. Good Luck!!

I was lucky enough to grow up in a real tight-knit neighborhood. Everybody knew each other, and for the most part, everybody even liked each other! One of the perks of living in such a neighborhood as a kid, was the plethora of neighbor gifts we received at Christmas time each year. The doorbell would ring on a cold December night, and it was a pretty sure bet that on the other side of the door there was a plate of homemade caramels and fudge, a bucket of cheese flavored popcorn, a loaf of freshly baked bread, or some other delicious treat. YUM. As a kid it never got old!
As an adult, the hardest part about doing neighbor gifts each year is deciding what exactly to give! It's tricky! Do you find something that works and repeat it every year, or do you like to get creative and try new things?? For the past few years our standby has been bags of chips and salsa from a local restaurant--- but after seeing so many cute ideas online I think it might be time for me to branch out! If you're needing a little inspiration, check out some of these awesome neighbor gift ideas from around the web....
What kinds of things do you like to give for neighbor gifts??
I'd love to hear your ideas!!

Thanksgiving is just two days away! I don't know about you, but I've got a lot of shopping, cooking and cleaning to do before then! For many of us, Thanksgiving dinner might be one of the more formal or fancier meals we attend all year. So, how are your table manners these days? Know and remember all of the 'rules' or could you use a little refresh before you sit down to dine with your in-laws on Thursday?
The first 5 people to email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) all of the correct answers to the little etiquette quiz below will receive this FREE 10 Piece Ceramic Cookware Set (valued at $99.95), just in time to get their cooking on for the holidays!! Good luck!
UPDATED: Thanks to everyone for submitting your quizzes! There are so many of you who know your stuff! Congratulations to the first 5 people who sent me the correct answers!

Working for a furniture company can be a very dangerous thing. It's hard not to want to take a new piece of furniture home every single week! Self-control is a MUST. I see beautiful, new furniture all of the time, so in order for me to actually purchase anything it has to REALLY stand out. It has to be something I can't live without.
RC Willey just picked up a new line of furniture, and guys, I don't think I can live without this stuff! Angelo Surmelis, the master designer behind Angelo:HOME created this line so that anyone & everyone can have a beautiful, cozy home at an affordable price! The collection boasts stylish high end looks, hand crafted details, and gorgeous fabrics and patterns. What's not to love??
Take a look for yourself at the full Angelo:HOME collection. Here are some of my favorites.....
Aren't these fabulous?!
In other news, a big thank you to everyone who entered our Kid's ATV giveaway! It was so fun reading about what everybody's dream toys were when they were kids. Sounds like big wheels and barbie cars were hot stuff for a lot of you! Congratulations to our two winners, Caroline and Amy Miller! Ladies, email me your information at email@example.com so that we can get you your little ATV's!

When I was a kid our next door neighbors had a couple of battery-powered kid's cars that made my heart sing! A cooler toy could not be found if you searched the world over. I still remember how amazing I thought it was every time I got to take a spin with my friend around the block in her barbie convertible. I thought I had died and gone to barbie heaven!
Well, this Kid's ATV might not have barbie plastered on the side, but I still think it's pretty darn cute! You can pick up your own little ATV through Memorial Day for only $39 bucks with a purchase of $499 or higher! (It's normally sold for $199 so that's a killer deal!) If my little boy were a few years older, I'd be all over reliving my childhood fantasy through him!
Since summer is so close I can almost taste it, I'm going to give two of you lucky readers your very own Kid's ATV! Simply become a follower if you aren't already, and leave a comment telling me what your 'dream toy' was as a kid! Two random winners will be chosen next Friday, May 31st. One entry per person please. Good luck!!

It's easy to play it safe when it comes to selecting paint colors for the walls of your home. Sure, whites, creams, tans, and beiges are undoubtably the easiest way to go, but I say live on the edge a little! Have you ever thought about painting a room black?! Gasp! I know, it sounds gothic, depressing and crazy... but if it's done right, it can be dramatic, striking and gorgeous.
Sure, you've got to be daring and courageous and committed to the idea, but you'll end up with a space so fantastic and unique that all of your neighbors will want black walls too! I think black paint looks classiest in rooms with high ceilings, big windows, and lots of natural light. Just remember no guts, no glory! Go bold or go home!
