The Best and Worst Commercials of Super Bowl 2010

Who else loved the Super Bowl last night? I'm still stuffed from all of the good food I inhaled, and I even enjoyed watching the football game this year. Let's be honest though. I got my bachelors degree in Advertising, and so naturally I thought the best part of the evening was watching the commercials. In college, the day after the Super Bowl was one of the funnest days of the semester because we'd re-watch, critique, and rate the ads in most of my classes. Since I'm no longer in a classroom today discussing the best and worst commercials from last night, I decided I'd do it here.
The top 5 best commercials from last night (in no particular order):
1. Doritos Smack Down
This spot was just plain hilarious. Plus the little boy was so dang cute. And it made me wish we had Doritos at our Super Bowl party. That's all.

2. Google's Paris Romance
How could you not like Google after this commercial? I loved how simple, yet clever the concept was. The story was sweet, and compelling, and it helped position Google in the marketplace perfectly- the source that we go to for literally everything.

3. Audi Green Police
Totally over the top, but so funny. This spot is apparently stirring controversy for poking fun at environmentalists and the whole "Going Green" movement, but I thought that it was humorous, and very well done.

4. Career Builder.com
Oh goodness. I was crying from laughing so hard. Everyone has had a job at one point or another that they hated, but this would be the very worst.

5. Dodge Charger
While I think the whole "domineering, controlling women with their victimized, submissive men" theme is old, I still thought this commercial was pretty funny.

The top 5 worst commercials from last night (also, no particular order here):
1. Denny's- the screaming chickens got really old, really fast.
2. GoDaddy.com- anyone else think GoDaddy needs to Go Away? Totally tasteless.
3. Sketchers- Seriously? How did this make the cut? I won't be buying any Shape-Ups, I can tell you that much.
4. Universal Studios Orlando- BORING.
5. Census Commercial- I thought it had potential, but I was very disappointed.
What do YOU think the Best and Worst Commercials from the Super Bowl were??
