Do you know what Memorial Day weekend Means?
It's time to start grilling baby!
I am always one for a good barbecue. Whether you're cooking hot dogs, burgers, steaks, chicken, or just grilling corn or veggies- I'M IN. In fact, barbecuing is right up there with swimming at the pool and summer vacations. It makes life so much better!
If you are a griller at heart, I've got a treat for you. Please let me introduce you to the Huntington 6-Burner Grill, or as we like to call it, the 'Meat Master 5,000'. Isn't she beautiful? She'd make a perfect addition to your family. Why, you ask? Here are some of her greatest qualities:
- She has 1005 Square Inches Total Cooking Area
- She has 6 Stainless Steel Dual-tube Burners
- She has 10,000 BTU Side Burner
- She has 15,000 BTU Rotisserie Burner
- She has Two Porcelain Hood Panels
- She comes with Cast Iron Cooking Grates
- She's got a Sure-lite Ignition System
I simply ask, How could you NOT love this beauty?
It just so happens that Memorial Day Weekend is the perfect time for you to come in and snag one of these amazing grills. This weekend we are having one of our biggest sales events of the year- so make sure you come in and take advantage of all the great deals or you'll be sorry! And just for kicks, when you spend $599 or more, we'll give you this High Definition Ultra-thin Camcorder for just 20 bucks!
And speaking of amazingness, I'm going to share with you my very favorite flank steak marinade in this world. I guarantee it will knock your socks right off it's so perfect.
Marinated Flank Steak
2 lbs. flank steak
1/2 cup apple juice
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1 medium onion, chopped
Cut flank steak across the grain into 1/2-1 inch thick slices. Mix apple juice, sugar, soy sauce, oil, garlic, ginger and onion. Add steak and marinate for 5-8 hours, stirring occasionally. Barbecue on hot grill, turning often.
Hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend, and that you get some good use out of your grill!!
I'm off to celebrate!

Gallery Walls have been a hot trend for a while now, and it doesn't look like they are going to be going away anytime soon! They are everywhere! And the good news is that you don't have to be an interior designer to create one yourself. All it takes is a handful of picture frames (I like it best when you have a random assortment of colors, shapes, and sizes), a hammer, some nails, and a little imagination. Below is a small gallery of pictures I put together last summer in my apartment. It was so easy, and took less than a half hour from start to finish!
Have you ever tried creating your own gallery wall?
Here are some of my favorite gallery walls out there to help you get inspired! There are seriously no rules here- the more eclectic the better I think!

I absolutely HATE the game monopoly. I guess I just don't have a long enough attention span because I'm bored and ready to move onto something else after about ten minutes.
With that said, I LOVE monopoly money. Or better yet, I love when real money feels like Monopoly Money. And for me, my tax return does just that!
I know, I know, I should probably save it. Put it in the bank. Invest in the stock market. blah blah blah. But really, it's like Monopoly Money, which means its best used when spent! You don't feel the obligation to be responsible with it and you can blow it on something utterly un-practical.
Yesterday I got on travelocity and signed up for email alerts notifying me of cheap flights to the following places:
New York City
I want to spend that tax return dangit! And I want to escape this gross Utah weather! Hopefully I'll find a flight soon that fits the bill......
What are you doing with your tax return??
P.S. If you're looking for something to spend it on, I'm sure RC Willey could help you out... you deserve it!

Tim Barber "Burning Bridges" via HUH Magazine
My husband just ran his first half marathon last month, and he's currently training for a marathon in October. My idea of exercise? Walking to the drinking fountain from my desk at work. He's really good at making me look like a total slacker (unintentionally of course) in the fitness department.
The thing is, I haven't always been this sedentary! In high school and college I ran almost every day, and they knew me by name at the gym. Once I got a full time job though I gradually started letting my exercise habit slip. It became super convenient to chalk my laziness up to the fact that I was so busy and there just wasn't enough time in the day! Sound familiar to anyone?
After being inspired by many of the people that ran across the finish line at the SLC half marathon a few weeks ago, I decided it was time. Time to start exercising again. Not because I wanted to lose any weight, lower my blood pressure, or obey doctor's orders (all of which are good reasons if they are applicable to you). For me, this decision was more about proving to myself that I was capable. That I could set a goal, and make it my reality, even if it was hard.
I'm still hammering out the specifics, but I do know that my "goal" involves running and training for a race, getting back into pilates, and engaging in some weight training. Suddenly I feel all of this motivation and can't wait to reap physical benefits (like an overall healthier, fit body), as well as emotional benefits too. Bring on the endorphins!
Starting back at square one is humbling, yet strangely exciting. Yesterday I went on a run in my neighborhood for the first time in forever. I ran 1.5 miles without stopping. My lungs were on FIRE and I seriously contemplated whether burning lungs could result in immediate death.
I'm on board though, and loving it.
What do you do to stay physically and emotionally healthy, and how do you remain motivated?!

In the mood to change up the furniture in your living room? Here are four brand new looks to RC Willey that I am loving and wishing I could buy! I think it's safe to say that stripes and floral patterns hold the key to my heart this spring.
Aren't they fabulous? Which set is your favorite?
I think I'm leaning towards #2.

Everyone knows that we sell furniture, electronics, appliances, and mattresses, but most folks are in the dark when it comes to the fact that we carry thousands (yes, thousands) of household accessories!
You can find all sorts of awesome accessories in our stores starting at $5 and ranging into the hundreds. There is literally something for every style, and every budget.
Unfortunately we don't have even a fraction of our accessories posted online. The fact of the matter is that we get shipments of accessories every single day, and they come in limited quantities. By the time we get them photographed and up on our website, there are usually only a few left in stock, which means we then have to turn around and take them off the website. It's complicated. So, until there's an efficient way for us to sell our accessories online, you'll just have to stop by one of our actual store locations every once in a while to score some major finds.
Just to show you what darling accessories we carry, I went down to our South Salt Lake showroom yesterday, and snapped a few pictures of some of my current favorites. (Please excuse the poor lighting and shadows. This was quick!)
Yellow Flower Vase- 1929798 $9.99
Yellow Vase- 2408820 $49.99
Polka Dot Pillow- 2412004 $29.99
Decorative Grass Plant- 7678002 $79.99
